My 2014 Video Game Wish List

My 2014 Video Game Wish List

2014 is the year for many anticipated video games and this is my 2014 Video Game Wish List.

1. The Evil Within

I've been a fan of the survival horror genre since the original Resident Evil that debuted on the Playstation back in 1997.   There hasn't been much survival horror games today that can have the same experience that once brought fear rather then action.  So The Evil Within will be a game that will bring back memories when I played the first Resident Evil games on the Playstation.  I can't wait to play this game in the dark with the volume turned up.

2. Super Smash Bros. Wii U

Super Smash Bros. has been with me since the game debuted back in 1999 for the N64 where my friends and I used to play this game for hours.  With Super Smash Bros. Melee, I bought myself a Nintendo Gamecube just for that game at the time (I have other Gamecube games).  Super Smash Brawl was a must because Sonic and Solid Snake are two video game icons that I grew up with.  I can't wait to get Super Smash Bros. Wii U and relive a game that brought many Nintendo characters fighting each other once again with new challengers to play as.

3. Alien: Isolation

The Alien movie franchise is one of my favorite sci-fi movies because it has brought something to the big screens never been seen before, the horrors of something from the shadows that can hunt a human being down.  I've played Alien games when I got the chance to.  Aliens: Colonial Marines was a big disappointment, it wasn't the game I hoped to be...  Aliens vs Predator survival mode for the Xbox 360 is still a favorite of mine due to the nostalgia of the classic movie Aliens.  I can't wait to play this game in the dark with the volume turned up.

4.  Diablo III: Reaper of the Souls

Diablo II has been my personal favorite game because there were so many memories of countless hours a long time ago of gameplay during the summer time when school was out.  I've beat the game with all characters on all difficulties, including the druid and the assassin from the expansion pack 'The Lord of Destruction'.  Since there has been mixed reviews about Diablo III, I still enjoy the game and I can't wait to see what challenges Reaper of the Souls can offer.

5. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

I've been a fan of Final Fantasy since I first played Final Fantasy VII back in 1997 for the Playstation.  With the release of Final Fantasy XIII, I had to play the game because it was a new Final Fantasy game on the latest console, Xbox 360 at the time. Final Fantasy XIII-2 was a different experience and had an interesting storyline that tied in with the previous game. With that said, a chance to play the last game in the series will put on a closure of how the series will end.  Final Fantasy XV is the next FF game I'm looking forward to play after Lightning Returns.

6. Batman: Arkham Knight

I'm a Batman fan, so this game is a must due to a new character as 'Batman' and the game will be for PS4 and Xbox One, making the game even better. Akrham Asylum was really fun to play and I didn't get a chance to play Akrham City; I'm still hoping to get a chance to play the game someday.  Batman: Arkham Knight will be a game for me to see on PS4 or Xbox as I remember playing Batman for the NES back in the day.

I love video games, especially the retro ones because I grew up playing those ones. A lot of memories and frustrations with some of the NES games, but it was fun enjoying those games. Video games are one of my passions because there are so many games out there that can be played and each one has a uniqueness to it.

2 Totally different games but I’m looking forward to Mario Kart 8 and Watch Dogs more than anything else this year!

Nice choices and I would also like to get those games too later on, especially Mario Kart 8.
