BlizzCon: WoW Expansion
The opening ceremony was packed full with revelations. Hearthstone should be in open beta next month. Heroes of the Storm Beta signups begin soon. But everyone wants to know about what comes next for WoW. So Blizzard sent out Chris Metzen. Though he fumbled through the beginning of his speech, it grew powerful as it carried on.
They talked of the old days of World of Warcraft, the darker days. Bringing back nostalgic feelings for WoW veterans. The alliance was asked how they could fight the most savage villains yet to come in WoW without becoming savages themselves.
Then they announced the next WoW expansion, Warlords of Draenor...and it looks evil! The trailer was much darker than the Mists of Pandaria color scheme. Vellen will lead the Horde in these dark times.
In general, the expansion looks a lot more promising than Mists of Pandaria. There will also be the ability to boost one character to level 90 instantaneously when the WoW expansion comes out.
As the day continues, Blizzard has announced many new features and updates that will come with the WoW Expansion. A largely requested feature will be implemented, New Player Models. All races will still feel like the WoW races you know and love, but improved to reflect modern gaming graphics capability.
Perhaps the most exciting feature revealed so far is the Garrison feature. The Garrison feature will bring housing to World of Warcraft in Draenor and Offline progression to your character via follower missions.
