Call of Duty: Ghosts system specs released

Call of Duty: Ghosts system specs released
Call Of Duty: Ghosts

A while back, Nvidia leaked a few of the system requirements that would be needed to play the new COD title, Call of Duty: Ghosts. There was quite a bit of speculation around how much hard disk space would be needed, and lots of folks feared a previously unheard of 50GB free space requirement. Also in the midst of speculation was a 64-bit operating system and 6GB of RAM.

All rumors put aside, the system specs can now be found on the Call of Duty: Ghosts website. The site reveals a not-so-staggering 40GB free space requirement, as well as confirms a 64-bit operating system and previously rumored memory requirement. While this may sound like a lot to some, you must realize that almost every PC purchased from retailers include a 64-bit OS and nearly a terabyte of internal hard disk space, and that the numbers are not as surprising as you'd expect. Comparing these numbers to next-gen console like the PS4 and Xbox One, the requirements comfortably satisfy the specifications of those platforms.

I'd suggest buying shares in video card and hard drive manufacturers, as this holiday season is sure to be a busy one for these companies. But beware, your bandwagon PC friends are going to be begging you to upgrade their peripherals.

Below is the system specs for Call of Duty: Ghosts, due out this 5th of November, 2013.

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit

“every PC purchased from retailers include a 64-bit OS and nearly a gig of internal hard disk space”.

It should say “terabyte”, not “gig*”.
