Call Of Duty: Ghosts Will Have Kinect Voice Control Capability
The next instalment in the hit shooter series, will apparently include the capability to use the Kinect voice controls. According to executive producer Mark Rubin the studio sees a lot of potential that they can also involve the players voice in future projects beyond Call Of Duty: Ghosts.
Rubin went on to say that, "we're doing some stuff, not really mentioning it yet. It's mostly menu stuff, so you can work all the menus with Kinect and of course that's a big thing that Microsoft are pushing for. We need to see where it goes before we jump in to anything."
With this year's Call Of Duty game you will be able to navigate the menus with the use of your voice. But as of this moment in time it seems to be that the Developers are just seeing how far the Kinect can actually go before they jump in to investing a lot of time and effort in to putting the feature in to any other aspect of the game.
Now as a company they do not want to jump in to a technology that hasn't been tried and tested over a period of time and has hardly been used in games, before they think about using it for features that could be crucial to the game gameplay, and then from their having the game ruined in a lot of peoples eyes. So to be honest it is a good idea just to keep it to one section of the game such as controlling the menu's using your voice before you invest in to putting it in to other aspect's before the technology has found its place and until they have found the best way's to use it that will suit Call Of Duty's play style.
Call Of Duty: Ghosts, will launch on November 5 on the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U and PC.
