E3: Stunning First Trailer for Mirror's Edge 2, Plus more from DICE
EA may often be the company that gamers love to hate, being (ridiculously) voted "Worst company in America" two years running, but at this years E3 they seem to be trying to change this. At their conference they of course showed off the latest incarnations of their big franchises, FIFA, Madden and Need For Speed, all making their debut on next gen hardware, and therefore looking more shiny than ever, but there were other treats in store too, from EA-owned studio DICE.
We were kind of expecting a Mirror's Edge 2 showing at this year's event, thanks to info leaking a few days back, but still it was good to have in confirmed. The long overdue sequel to the first person free-running game from DICE (simply called Mirror's Edge, again) has finally been confirmed and it's coming to Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. And yes... it looks absolutely drop dead gorgeous, so the wait looks well worth it. You'll be waiting a wee while longer though- the release date is listed as "when it's ready". Check out the trailer in all it's glory below.
DICE is also one of the companies we knew to be working on Star Wars games for EA. We now know what their first game will be, and it's a return to one of the most popular Star Wars game franchises: Star Wars Battlefront.
Finishing up this trilogy of impressive footage from DICE is this new trailer showing the keenly anticipated FPS Battlefield 4. In this next gen multi-player footage see "The Siege of Shanghai"- and very impressive it is too.
